Radiation Oncology

Radiation Oncology is a medical discipline that treats cancers or selected non-cancerous diseases using radiation. It is, alone or in combination with other methods, such as surgery and chemotherapy, inevitable and important component of oncologic treatments. Radiotherapy is based on the principle of killing tumor cells with radiation. It is combined with low-dose chemotherapy in order to increase efficiency of treatment in certain cancers. Radiotherapy aims to kill or stop growth of tumor cells while protection of normal tissues is maximized. Patient-specific blocks are molded in all cancer types and thus, healthy tissues are protected at maximal level.

In addition, internal medicine directly takes part and solves the problem in many heart, lung, kidney and liver problems in re- and post-operative period. Briefly, internal medicine is the first center for application and solution for all health problems in adults..
