“Polyps” develop in nose and sinuses due to untreated nasal allergy and in this surgery, polyps are seen and resected with a special device, called endoscope.
In this method, high-frequency electric current generated by radiofrequency device is emitted to tissues with a probe and thus, destruction and dysfunction are not caused. Treatment can be repeated at certain intervals and it can be planned in sessions.
Polysomnography (PSG) is a test that is used for diagnosis of sleep disorders; brain waves, eye movements, respiratory activities, cardiac activities, body temperature, blood oxygen saturation and muscle activities (penile changes, especially erection) are measured in the test. Patient should not sleep in day time, should not consume alcohol and should not over-consume drinks that impair sleep pattern, such as tea and coffee, on the day of PSG. Moreover, drugs that help falling asleep and impairs natural sleep pattern or help relaxation of bad temper should not be taken on the day of the test.
Otoacoustic Emission Test:
This test points to location and severity of ear disease in many conditions, such as hearing loss, tinnitus and dizziness.
This test evaluates fluid and pressure changes in middle ear as well as hearing reflex in children and adults.
The test is used to diagnose allergic conditions, such as allergic rhinitis, asthma, dermal diseases and protein allergies.
Tonsillitis and tonsillectomy, adenoid hypertrophy and adenoidectomy, effusion in middle ear and placement of ventilation tube, tongue-tie etc.
