Neurology

This medical discipline focuses on pathologies of brain and spinal cord as well as the nerves that originate thereof. Neurology is not dealing with limited number of health conditions anymore thanks to the technological developments in last decade. We use cranial tomography, 1.5 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging, echocardiography, extra-cranial Doppler, EEG and EMG commonly in patients, who present to our outpatient clinic, and thus, we make significant contribution to follow-up and treatment of our patients.

DEFNE HOSPITAL delivers diagnosis, treatment and monitoring/follow-up services for inpatients and outpatients in neurology department.

Neurological laboratory services

Electroencephalography (EEG):

EEG is used for differential diagnosis of numerous diseases of central nervous system, especially epilepsy, and it is performed in our electrophysiology (EEG) laboratories.

Electromyography (EMG):

EMG (electromyoneurography), a dynamic diagnostic method, is most commonly used at our electrophysiology laboratory in the evaluation of neuropathies that are manifested by common complaints, such as numbness in hands and feet and painful conditions like lumbar and cervical hernias.
