Gastroenterology

Gastroenterology department deals with treatment of all acute and chronic diseases of gastrointestinal system. Immediate haemostatic treatment of gastrointestinal hemorrhage, sclerosing agent therapy, bleeding varicose veins, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, treatment of chronic pancreatitis with ERCP, treatment of stones and stenosis of biliary tract, extraction of calculus from biliary tract, polypectomy (excision of gastrointestinal polyps), treatment of ulcer and gastroesophageal reflux, and treatment of chronic bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, procedures including bile duct and gastroesophageal stent placement for stenosis of bile ducts and esophagus are carefully carried out by specialized teams.

Colonoscopy
Rectoscopy
Rectosigmoidoscopy
In endoscopy unit, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, rectoscopy and rectosigmoidoscopy procedures are performed that help to see hollow organs with fiberoptic and rigid devices. (diagnosis of stomach and duodenum ulcer as well as cancer of esophagus, stomach and colon)
