Gynecology and Obstetrics Department renders healthcare services in a wide range of fields, ranging from general diagnosis and treatment services and menopause and osteoporosis to supervision of high-risk and healthy pregnancies, diagnosis of gynecological cancers and IVF therapy.
All candidate mothers are routinely supervised with ultrasound scans, starting from the diagnosis of pregnancy until the birth. Routine diagnostic tests include fetal nuchal translucency, triple tests, glucose challenge test, cervical length measurement and fetal monitoring. Depending on the course of pregnancy, the best delivery option is determined and mothers are given birth with spontaneous vaginal delivery, caesarean section or epidural anesthesia.
Diseases that are deemed in group of high-risk pregnancies and may cause complication(s) during pregnancy are successfully supervised by our experienced Gynecologists and Obstetricians in cooperation with other relevant departments, if and whenever required. For these pregnant women, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and its specialized staff are always ready for newborn infants, who can potentially suffer from a health problem.
